In the fall of 2013, the town of Shrewsbury, MA passed a bylaw allowing farmers markets for the first time in Shrewsbury. Shortly after, Shrewsbury Farmers Market, LLC was formed and began the process of planning the first farmers market in modern Shrewsbury history. We were located at Ski Ward for the first three years however the rocky grounds made it difficult for many patrons therefor we relocated to the Shrewsbury Senior Center Parking lot at 98 Maple Ave. with a flat and easy to navigate surface. Working with the Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Dept, the Council on Aging and Town Hall to provide a great experience for all.

The Shrewsbury Farmers Market is part of WE CAN (Worcester County Environmental Community Agricultural Network), a 501c3. Our mission WE CAN’s mission is to proactively work with a wide range of Worcester County community members to promote and enhance our future with healthier natural resources land, air, water and empower people to work towards more social and environmental responsibility including local food security, open space preservation and conservation, energy and other sustainable practices and impact awareness now and for the future.
